The conference will be held in Crystal Ballroom North and South. This year's open concept will bring technical sessions, workshops, and trade show into one space.

Quiet spaces and breaks

This year's open concept theme will see most of the talks and trade show in one large space. A lounge, restaurant, business centre, and large indoor seating area are available for quiet discussion.

Who can attend?

EPEX is open to anyone. Members of the OPI do receive preferred rates.

Attendees will probably have an interest in the business, operations, science, or exploration of activities relating to wells licensed under to Oil, Gas & Salt Resources Act or the Geologic Carbon Storage Act.

What should I bring?

A notebook, business cards (or a QR contact card), and whatever you need to be comfortable. If you’re attending the core workshop, closed-toe shoes are often a good idea.

Is there a dress code?

Business casual is typical. Many attendees are coming from field or operational roles; practical attire is welcome.

Will slides or recordings be available after the event?

Captioned recording of most technical talks will become available after the conference.

Please contact Lorraine Fillmore to inquire about speaking opportunities. All speakers must register for the conference.

Important Dates:

  • December 31, 2025 — Initial speaker contacts begin
  • February 25, 2026 — Speakers finalized
  • March 9, 2026 — Speakers to submit their talk titles and affiliations for program
  • April 6, 2026 — Slide template for speakers will be sent out
  • April 6, 2026 — Speakers' biographies and abstracts due
  • May 11, 2026 — Speakers' slide/media drop boxes setup, slide deck requested
  • May 18, 2026 — Video release forms for video gold volume requested
  • June 3 & 4, 2026 — Speaker presentations THANK YOU!
